One-to-One support

Intensive therapeutic support for children and young people facing the greatest barriers to attendance, engagement and emotional wellbeing.

Intensive, 8–10 week one-to-one therapeutic support for pupils experiencing barriers to attendance. We meet the young person where they are, and where engagement is most likely – this could be in their home, school, or community.

What sessions focus on

  • Self-regulation tools
  • Graded exposure back to school
  • Parent coaching for consistent routines

A typical complex intervention involves significant professional time (often around 150 hours across the team), enabling us to understand the home context, connect services quickly, and re-establish a positive relationship with education.

How it works

Co-produced plan

an in-depth assessment involving the young person, referrer, teachers, professionals, parents, and foster carers to co-produce tailored goals

Intensity & staffing

3–4 sessions per week delivered by a 2-3 person case team; a typical case involves approximately 150 hours across the team

Sustain & step-down

A step-down plan to support new routines and progress as the young person re-engages with education, with tools shared across the family and network.
